Gardaí are continuing to investigate all the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman at her residence in Killala earlier this week.
Gardaí and emergency services were alerted to the incident shortly before 10pm on Monday night.
The body of a local woman, aged in her forties, was taken to Mayo University Hospital where a post-mortem took place.
The results of the post-mortem have not been released for operational reasons.
A file will now be prepared for the coroner.
