Chelsea set for imminent announcement for ‘incredible’ Willian deal

Chelsea have already made one signing this summer and they are set to announce a second. Tosin Adarabioyo made the free transfer move across west London from Fulham at the end of his Whites contract.

The defender is essentially a direct replacement for Thiago Silva, who left Stamford Bridge for a return to home country Brazil with Fluminense. But having seen one veteran player move from Chelsea to Brazil, it looks like a young talent star is going in the opposite direction.

The Blues have been linked with a move for Estevao Willian for some time now, with the talented teenager set to sign a lucrative big-money deal from Palmeiras. The 17-year-old has reportedly already passed a medical in west London, with a deal worth an initial £30million rising to £51million struck.

The Brazilian wonderkid will be Enzo Maresca’s second summer signing, with the new boss hoping even more will come through the door to bolster the squad he inherited from Mauricio Pochettino.

Willian may take time to settle into the Premier League, given his young age, but there is little doubt in Brazil that he will be a huge success. He has been likened to Lionel Messi, although such comparisons have irked Julio Baptista.

Baptista graced the Premier League with Arsenal on loan in the 2006/07 season and he can’t wait to see Willian in England’s top flight.
