Man charged in relation to Finglas stabbing death

A man has been charged in relation to the Finglas stabbing that killed a man in the early hours of Thursday morning.

The incident happened on Hampton Wood Quay and the victim was named as Michael Ryan, who was in his fifties. A man in his 30s was arrested as part of the investigation and has since been charged.



he is due in court on Saturday morning. A garda spokesman said: “Gardaí investigating a fatal assault on a man on in the Dublin 11 area on Thursday 20th June 2024, have charged a man aged in his 30s.

“He will appear before the CCJ Dublin tomorrow morning, Saturday 22nd June 2024. A post mortem of the deceased, a man in his 50s, has been completed by the State Pathologist.

“The results of the post mortem will not be released for operational reasons.”
