I can’t believe today, says Westlife star’s wife as son reaches huge milestone
WESTLIFE star Kian Egan’s son has reached a major milestone that had his parents emotional.
The singer married Hollyoaks star, Jodi Albert in 2009 and they have three sons together, Koa, Zekey and Cobi.
The couple’s eldest child, Koa, graduated primary school earlier this week.
The proud mum took to Instagram to share some adorable throwback snaps of her son from his first day at school.
Koa looked adorable smiling from ear-to-ear with his mum while wearing his uniform in the selfie.
Jodi kept the nostalgia flowing as she shared another image of Koa on his first day with his lunch box and schoolbag by his side.
In the heart-melting photo, a much-younger Koa looked as excited as ever as he prepared for his big day.
On his last day of school, the mum-of-three and her son embraced each other closely as they posed for a photo outside of his school.
Koa then stood arm in arm beside his little brothers for a photo together.
The 40-year-old captioned her touching tribute: “I cannot believe today I took my baby boy to primary school for the last time.
“You are a light that shines so bright and that’s all you son, no one can ever take that away from you.
“I love you so much @koaegan I can’t even begin to say how proud I am of you, the person you are your kindness, your manners and your many many talents .. again all you. On to bigger things now my boy!”
Friends and fans gushed in her comment section over how much Koa had grown up.
Kian Egan wrote: “Our little boy has all of a sudden grown into a big, big boy, what an amazing mummy you have been.”
Leigh said: “Oh Jodi! I can’t believe he is finished primary school! It feels like only yesterday you were bopping around the stage in wonderland and he was in your tummy.”
Another fan commented: “It’s amazing how quickly time flies. The first day of school feels like yesterday. Now the future is yours, Koa. Whatever you do, you will do amazing.”
Jacoba remarked: “Time flies. Koa has grown so quickly, I understand you Jodi.”
MY HERO
Kian has recently been touring around China with Westlife, as the band kicked off their, With Love tour at the end of May in the continent.
And on one of the tour dates, the Sligo singer paid a touching tribute to his late dad.
Kian’s dad sadly passed away in 2009 after he lost his battle with cancer.
During Westlife’s gig in Beijing, Kian paid a touching tribute to his father Kevin on his birthday.
Sitting alongside his bandmates on stage, Kian said: “As Nicky said, sadly we’ve all lost our dads.
“But today in particular for my dad is a very special day. Today would be my dad’s birthday.
“So I just want to say I love you dad – this song is a very beautiful song and a very special, precious song.
