Investigation underway after man killed in shooting near Old Town Square shopping center

CHICAGO — A shooting near a shopping center on the Near North Side left a man dead early Saturday morning.

Chicago police say just after 2:30 a.m., officers responded to a report of a man shot in the 400 block of West Divison Street, near the Old Town Square shopping center.

CPD: Man attempts to lure teen into car in Wrigleyville

Officers say when they arrived on the scene, they found a 34-year-old man who had suffered several gunshot wounds to his body.

The victim was transported to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Currently, it is unclear what led to the shooting and authorities have not yet identified the victim killed.
