Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid ride the runway on horses

Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid marked their own runway firsts as they rode into the Vogue World Paris show on horses on Sunday evening.

This year’s Vogue World collaborated with youth athletic academies across France, pairing different sports with a history of 100 years of French fashion.

And in keeping with the sports theme the two models rode across the Place Vendôme in matching taupe blazers with shiny black collars.

Meanwhile their horses, Django and Napo, were dressed mane to hoof in Hermes as they sported orange and leg warmers and saddles.

Sabrina Carpenter looked right at home on the runway as she wowed in a red and white stripey Jacquemus ensemble and matching headscarf.

The singer’s skirt was adorned with faded roses and she completed the look with some lace up black heels.

After their horse debut, Kendall and Gigi returned later for their second look.

Speaking about the look Venus told Vogue: ‘Marine absolutely killed the look.

‘She really embodied femininity, athleticism, and chicness all in one. And most importantly, it makes me feel empowered and confident.’

Styled her long tresses in a neat loose do, the actress accessorised with a large quirky dazzling gold bracelet after wowing in a Madonna inspired cone bra piece for the red carpet.

The venue for the show was the famed Place Vendôme – a square which is a renowned location for fine jewellery and the inspiration for a Catherine Deneuve film.

The sports included cycling, gymnastics, tennis, fencing, and break dancing, among others and the fashion will shine a spotlight on both modern and historic designers.

Last year the event was hosted in London, while the year before the Big Apple was the backdrop for the high fashion extravaganza.

Speaking on the event, Vogue’s global editorial director and Condé Nast chief content officer Anna Wintour, said: ‘If Vogue World: New York was a street fair, and Vogue World: London was a glamorous night at the theatre…

‘Supporting arts and cultural organisations in London – Paris will be a kind of opening ceremony; one that celebrates 100 years of fashion and sport, as well as this extraordinary city.’

A percentage of the net proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the humanitarian organisation Secours Populaire.

The organisation facilitates access to essential equipment for young, aspiring athletes across France.
