HOMS Assist to create 30 new jobs as it targets five-fold growth – Business Plus
HOMS Assist has announced 30 new jobs as part of plans to grow its business five-fold over the next three years.
The law firm, which practices in personal injury, medical negligence, property law, wills, probates, trusts and more, currently employs over 140 people across Ireland.
The company intends to grow its business volumes through an “extensive” education programme on the importance of engaging legal services when they are needed.
In recent years the number of claims cases taken by members of the public has increased due in part to population growth but also people’s greater awareness of their legal rights, according to the solicitors.
The firm say further education is a “key pillar” in its prospective growth, and that it would also seek to upskill staff members in speciality areas.
“Truly a key aspect of that strategy is to educate the general public about their rights when it comes to claims, whether they be personal injury, medical and so on,” said Robert Bourke, senior partner at HOMS Assist.
“Many clients come to see us, and most will say they are unsure if they have a case… and we work with them to provide clarity on their rights. The lack of confidence in basic legal rights is a key reason that many people don’t seek claims.
“Not only is it important for clients to make claims for themselves when they are due some recompense, but it’s also how standards improve, by bringing oversights or poor practice to light so services or conditions improve for others.
“HOMS Assist plans to roll out an extensive public education programme to empower people to arm themselves with knowledge when it comes to their rights, which in turn will increase business.”
The announcement comes after HOMS Assist was recognised as the leading firm for personal injury claims and medical negligence cases at the National Law Awards.
“HOMS Assist has been established for many years, and now we are planning to grow beyond our established network of loyal clients,” said Burke.
“While winning awards is great, for us the big focus is doubling down on client focused care and excellent service to achieve growth.”
