Eastbourne Open: Top seed Fritz makes quarter-finals

American Taylor Fritz, the top seed, moved into the quarter-finals of the Eastbourne Open by defeating Brazilian Thiago Seyboth Wild 7-6 (4), 6-3 at the Devonshire Park Lawn Tennis Club on Wednesday evening.

Fritz, ranked No 13, will face Chinese qualifier Juncheng Shang next.

Seyboth Wild, ranked No 74, won against Australian qualifier James McCabe (6-4, 6-4) in the previous round of the Eastbourne tournament.
