easyJet cancels flights as summer holiday plans thrown into chaos
UK holidaymakers had their travel plans thrown into chaos today as easyJet axed a number of flights.
Many passengers have taken to social media platform X to report issues with their flights with the airline today. According to our sister site Daily Record, travellers were informed their flights from Edinburgh and Glasgow airport were cancelled.
A flight from Malaga to Liverpool set to depart at 10.40am was one of the flights cancelled today. An announcement on easyJet explained the flight was cancelled due to air traffic control restrictions. It said: “We’re sorry that your flight has been cancelled. This is due to air traffic control restrictions.

“We understand that this will be disappointing news and we want to make it as easy as possible for you to make new plans, so here’s everything you need to know about what to do next. The disruption to your flight is outside of our control and is considered to be an extraordinary circumstance.”
On its official X platform, easyJet has been responding to a number of customers reporting issues with their travel today. It advised users to check the flight tracker to see if their travel has been impacted by the air traffic control restrictions.
