Come and See the Updated DANVILLE TENNIS CENTER; with Sat June 29th Open House, 10 AM – 12 Noon
The Danville Tennis Center is ready to show their new look with a 10 AM to Noon open house on Saturday (June 29th). The center was awarded $500,000 in COVID relief ARPA funding by the City of Danville, and much of that went to six new outdoor courts and fencing. Danville Tennis Center Board of Directors president Laurie Sermersheim says come on out Saturday for a morning of tennis, and pickleball.
AUDIO: You’re going to be able to play up on the six new courts. We’re going to do free tennis drills; we’ll have pros that can help with that. And we’ll also have pros for those who have played, and are more experienced players. And we’re going to have a pickleball pro. It’ll be an exciting day. We’re also going to have so hot dogs, and drinks and chips; for when people get off court.
You’ll also be able to tour the Danville Tennis Center indoor facility, which also includes pickleball courts. Just watch for the signs, donated by Rossi Photography, along Lincoln Park Avenue and Logan.
Laurie Sermersheim will be a guest on this Saturday morning’s “Saturday Morning Sports Talk” on 1490 WDAN; heard every Saturday from 8 to 9AM.
