LeBron and Bronny James escape pressure of 2024 NBA Draft by doing the most father-son thing ever
With Bronny James‘ NBA Draft future up in the air, LeBron James decided to spend some special father-son time with his kids in order to reduce the stress of the draft process. In true James family fashion, they went to a basketball gym, but instead of just a workout, a competition broke out to see if 39-year-old LeBron could keep up with his 19-year-old son.

LeBron James and LeBron James Jr. (Bronny) looked like mirror images of each other as they threw down impressive between the legs dunks caught on camera.
Despite the justified criticism from scouts, It’s hard to believe an NBA team would not want to draft Bronny James when he bears such a striking resemblance to the four-time NBA champion and the league’s all-time leading scorer.
The Los Angeles Lakers star has long stated his desire to play at least one season with his eldest son in the NBA. His dad made sure that they played together one more time as a father and son before the pressures of the professional game really set in.
LeBron posted several pictures and videos from the gym of Chris Brickley, a famous basketball trainer known to work with Kevin Durant, Jimmy Butler, Angel Reese and many others.
LeBron’s emotional Instagram message to Bronny and Bryce
The message he wrote with the training pictures (which also included his younger son Bryce James, 16) spoke to the journey that he has been on as a father to get to this major turning point in their lives.
“Not a feeling in the fkn world better than being around raising my boys to MEN!” James said in the emotional caption on Instagram. “Pops over here getting emotional as hell just thinking about yall journey so far!”
As the Lakers get set to decide whether or not they will draft Bronny James in the second round, one fan in the Instagram comments reflected on the bond that will exist no matter where he is drafted: “Legacy. Pass it down and pay it forward. Big day for the James family.”
