Majority of Cavan workers ‘fearful’ over job security | NorthernSound
The majority of the Cavan workforce (54%) currently fear for their job security. This figure is up from the 45% who held similar fears in the county when the question was asked in 2023, according to the latest FRS Recruitment Insights Report. More than half of all people in Cavan (55%) also believe that changing jobs is the best way to secure the wage they deserve, while 6 in 10 people Cavan people have been headhunted in the last 12 months.
Lynne McCormack is the General Manager of FRS Recruitment. Speaking to Northern Sound, Lynne said that uncertainty over job security is evident in the findings for people living in Co Cavan.
Elsewhere, 8 out of 10 people (79%) in Cavan say they have used Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the workplace. While 2 in 5 locals (41%) also believe that AI will impact or replace their job in the future. This is up on last year, when 32% of people in Cavan were worried about the impact AI may have on their jobs.
