Moment Taylor Swift fans without tickets stand outside Aviva to hear star’s gig

DESPERATE Taylor Swift fans without tickets lined-up outside the Aviva Stadium just to get the chance to hear the popstar’s performance last night.

The American star wowed 50,000 screaming Swifties in the first of her three major Aviva Stadium gigs on Friday night.

Thousands of fans were left disappointed after failing to secure tickets to the concert of the year.

But that didn’t stop hundreds of ticket-less Swift fans from showing up outside the stadium to hear the excitement from the other side.

One fan caught the amazing moment hundreds of fans gathered beside the River Dodder and sang-along to Taylor’s hit song “All Too Well” as she pelted out the tune inside the venue.

Twitter user, @franknoc filmed a clip of the electrifying atmosphere coming from the Aviva Stadium as Swift rocked the tune.

He then panned the camera around to the river side beside the stadium to show hundreds of fans outside singing their hearts out.

Fans of all ages flocked beside the river and beamed as they heard the familiar tune.

One person in the comments remarked: “Kinda heartbreaking. Everyone deserves to see their favourite act live. I hate that some people are able to see an act multiple times and some never get to be there.”

Kate said: “I listened to her show outside of the stadium and it changed my life! She’s so incredible and so are her fans.”

While Finn added: “Love this.”

And Taylor sent fans inside the concert into a frenzy by counting in Gaeilge and featuring a popular Irish phrase at the end of a hit song.

Tay Tay kicked off yesterday’s show just after 7pm in a sparkly pink bodysuit for the opening track ‘Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince‘ to deafening screams.

The concert – that went over three hours long – featured over 40 songs from across the pop superstar’s 11 albums, with each album separated into eras, giving the tour its name.

The singer was met with deafening screams from Irish Swifties as she declared: “Alright Dublin, we have arrived!”

She performed another song from her ‘Lover’ album before addressing the crowd again.

She said: “What an absolute honour and a privilege it is to say these words… welcome to the Eras tour Dublin.

“I haven’t played a show in Dublin in over 5 years and I know you know this, but nobody does it like you.

“We’re a couple of songs into this very long show, and I’m already seeing people in the audience who should be getting awards for their performance.”

Each night of the tour the star holds her microphone to her dancer Kameron Saunders as he screams a phrase to round off the song.

And the opening night of the Dublin stint was no different as the dancer shouted “póg mo thoin” into the mic, which sent the crowd into a roaring cheer.
