Al-Ahly Benghazi loses final of African Basketball League

Al-Ahly Benghazi came in second place in the African Basketball League (BAL) after losing the final to Angolan “Petro Luanda” with a score of 93-107.

The final match, which was held in the Rwandan capital, Kigali, on Saturday evening, witnessed a distinguished and close level of performance from both teams.

Al-Ahly started the match strongly and succeeded in controlling the first and second quarters thanks to the brilliance of the duo Robert Golden and veteran Solo Diabate, ending the half ahead with a score of 52-40. 

At the beginning of the second half, Petro de Luanda turned the game aroun, ending the third quarter in a tie 75-75. Then, it completely dominated the fourth quarter and ended the match in its favor with a score of 107-93 to win the BAL trophy.
