Alaska Native Tessa Karlberg to Join Warrior Women’s Basketball

LEWISTON – Alaska Anchorage transfer Tessa Karlberg will bring collegiate leadership experience to a young group of Warriors as the latest addition to the 2024-25 LC State Women’s Basketball roster. After a year off of collegiate action, the senior will join the team in the fall.

Karlberg played high school basketball at Grace Christian High School where she was voted the Alaska 3A State Player of the Year in the 2020-21 season. She was voted All-State three times and scored more than 2,000 points for the Grizzlies after averaging 18.3 points per game as a senior.

“I am a big believer of things happening for a reason and having Tessa join our program is just what we needed,’ Head Coach Caelyn Orlandi said. “Tessa is an excellent shooter, a great driver, a big wall up defender and brings a strong physical presence to our guard positions. She is truly a great basketball player and had a fantastic high school career, but what Tessa will bring is beyond her basketball abilities. She is a natural leader, a hard worker and dedicates herself to excellence. I am truly so excited to add Tessa to our team as she embodies everything it means to be an LC Warrior.”

Karlberg joins Keira O’Neill, Bella Firnkoess and Kendall Wallace as part of the 2024 class of signees.
