Aldi’s £2.50 outdoor solar lights have made my garden sparkle
I love nothing more than seeing a garden lit up at night.
Admittedly, at this time of year, you have to stay up quite late, but it’s those long summer evenings outdoors that make sprucing up your outdoor space worthwhile.
Solar lights are the easiest and cheapest option as all you need to do is hang them out, with no ongoing cost of electricity.
I bought some Solar Mini Spiral Lights from Aldi and absolutely love them.

I love the design of them and how they can be scattered about the garden and hung off everything from trees, to hooks and parasols.
You get four in a pack for £9.99, so, at less than £2.50 a light, that’s really good value for money and, while they’re described as ‘mini’ they’re actually pretty big, around eight inches tall to the top of the handle.
I bought the warm white LEDs, and hung them in trees, but you can get multi-coloured ones too.
They’re one of many lighting products available from the budget retailer’s garden range.
I also picked up a box of the Solar Geometric String Lights, costing £6.99 for a set of 10.
I hung them on the fence alongside a garland and some plants and it’s made such a big difference to see that area glowing at night. They’re also ideal to hang from trellis, trees and parasols too.
The packs were among a range of garden lights available at Aldi.
If you struggle to find them in stores, Amazon sells a four-pack of Spiralights for £16.90, or a pack of lights, similar to Aldi’s geometric ones, for £15.99 for 30.
Amazon currently has deals on a range of outdoor lighting, including this set of 60 waterproof solar powered crystal ball decorative lights, reduced to £11.85.
