Alexandra Park Tennis Courts Celebrate their 1st Birthday

Join Active Hastings and Break Point Tennis at Alexandra Park tennis courts for their 1st Birthday Celebrations on Sunday 7 July.

The team of coaches from Break Point Tennis will be celebrating a year of tennis at the newly renovated Alexandra Park courts with free tennis sessions for all the family, running from 10am to 2pm.

Sessions throughout the day include cardio tennis, junior tennis and adult tennis lessons or just bring your racket for some free time on the beautiful courts. Get yourself down to the park for a picnic and a game of tennis on their 1st birthday open day, whether you are a member or haven’t picked up a racket in years.

With thanks to funding from the LTA, last year the six tennis courts in Alexandra Park were beautifully refurbished. For more information on the courts.

Cath Donovan, Active Hastings Co-ordinator said: “We are very excited to celebrate the tennis courts 1st Birthday at the weekend with Break Point Tennis! With a range of free coaching sessions available throughout the day, it’s a day not to be missed!”

Notes to editor:
Active Hastings works closely with local providers of physical activity to give you easy, fun ways to get your everyday dose of physical activity. It only takes 30 minutes a day for adults and 60 a day for children to get fitter, healthier and happier. You can even break it down into 10-minute slots!

Active Hastings coordinates the local Community Physical Activity Network, which brings together schools, sport clubs, National Governing Bodies of Sport, health organisations, the voluntary sector and the private sector to work together, unblock barriers to participation and improve the local sport and physical activity delivery system.

Active Hastings is hosted by Hastings Borough Council, in partnership with East Sussex County Council, and brings together a wide range of local and national partners to ensure that everyone in Hastings can get active.
