Amanda Balionis shares cryptic quote during quick break from golf
Amanda Balionis has been away from the golf world for a few weeks now as she enjoys her time off but has been sharing some motivational posts on social media
Golf presenter Amanda Balionis is clearly relishing her time off from the sport, as evidenced by her latest social media post.
The sports reporter shared a series of nine photos on Instagram, showing her having a blast in Las Vegas with her friends. Among the pictures were two snaps featuring Rachel Morris, the associate head coach of volleyball at Indiana.
“I’ll bet on us every time,” Balionis captioned the post. She also shared a quote from Melody Beattie’s book “Journey to the Heart” about embracing the joys of summer. “Learn to enjoy summer, that wonderful warm time when everything is in full bloom,” the quote began, reports the Mirror US.
Summer isn’t forever, but don’t ruin it by fussing. Forget about the winter just past, the autumn that lies ahead. Immerse yourself in the food times, the fullness of summertime.

“We may have gotten so used to the other times, the colder times, that we’ve forgotten how to enjoy the sun, the warmth, the play times. The good times. Each moment of our lives is important. Each moment of our lives is a spiritual experience. To live fully in joy, we need to learn to enjoy the good times as well as weather the storms.
“Most of us are proficient at hunkering down and getting through the winters of our lives. Now, it’s time to learn something different. Take off your heavy wraps. Grab your straw hat and go bask in the sun. Tomorrow’s lessons will take care of themselves.”
Despite being a well-known face in sports reporting, Balionis’ fame skyrocketed when whispers of a possible romance with PGA Tour star Rory McIlroy began to circulate. This coincided with the time McIlroy initially filed for divorce from his wife Erica Stoll, fuelling speculation about a potential love affair between Balionis and McIlroy.
Intriguingly, Balionis dropped “Renner” from all her social media accounts. “Renner” refers to her husband, Bryn Renner, an ex-NFL quarterback who found himself embroiled in the rumours surrounding a possible relationship between McIlroy and Balionis.
Adding to the intrigue, sharp-eyed fans noticed that Balionis had stopped wearing her ring while on camera, stoking the rumour mill further. However, US Weekly insisted that the relationship between McIlroy and Balionis was purely professional, despite their on-screen chemistry.
Subsequently, McIlroy backtracked on his decision to divorce the mother of his three year old daughter and issued a statement expressing his and Stoll’s commitment to mending any harm done. “Over the past weeks, Erica and I have realised that our best future was as a family together. Thankfully, we have resolved our differences and look forward to a new beginning,” he stated, according to The Guardian.
There was never any solid proof to suggest a romantic relationship between Balionis and McIlroy, with the latter stating: “Responding to each rumour is a fool’s game.”
Balionis is currently wrapping up a break, enjoying some downtime in Las Vegas following the Rocket Mortgage Classic. She’s set to return to our telly screens this weekend, reporting from the John Deere Classic in Silvis, Illinois.
