Angelina Jolie goes shopping with daughter Vivienne after teen drops Brad Pitt’s last name
Angelina Jolie enjoyed a shopping trip with her daughter Vivienne on Tuesday.
The “Girl, Interrupted” star looked chic in a tailored crewneck T-shirt and black slacks while her 15-year-old daughter opted for a more casual look of baggy pants, an oversize tee and high-top Converse sneakers.
The mother-daughter duo was photographed walking through a parking garage before eventually departing in Jolie’s Mercedes-Benz.
The retail therapy comes as it has been made apparent that the actress and Brad Pitt’s six kids have chosen to remain close with their mother while becoming increasingly estranged from their father.
The former couple’s minor children, twins Knox and Vivienne, have formal visitation agreements with Pitt, 60, but a source told Page Six that their relationship is “very difficult.”
Vivienne even dropped her father’s last name in the Playbill for “The Outsiders.” The teen, who helped produce the Broadway play with her mom, listed herself as Vivienne Jolie instead of Vivienne Jolie-Pitt.
The “Ocean’s Eleven” actor and the “Maleficent” star’s daughter Shiloh, meanwhile, formally filed to drop Pitt from her name on her 18th birthday in May.
“He’s aware and upset that Shiloh dropped his last name. He’s never felt more joy than when she was born. He always wanted a daughter,” a source told People of Pitt’s reaction.
“The reminders that he’s lost his children [are], of course, not easy for Brad. He loves his children and misses them. It’s very sad.”
Last year, Zahara left off the Pitt from her name during her Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority induction ceremony at Spelman College in Atlanta.
The “Changeling” actress filed to divorce the “Moneyball” star in 2016 and requested full custody of their six kids.
Though the former couple was declared legally single in 2019, their acrimonious divorce proceedings remain ongoing.
