Annual golf outing up to par for Bray Chamber as RV International wins again
RV International reclaimed the best team accolade, winning first prize with Rory Vance winning the longest drive. Alpha CC came in second place with Benville Robinson’s team taking third. Meanwhile, Shane Hanrahan, from Osborne Recruitment, won the prize for nearest the pin.
Past president Sarah Finnegan remarked that the annual golf event presents an informal setting for local businesses to meet each other in person to strengthen connections locally as well as promoting themselves.
“Despite being in an eclectic mix of backgrounds including recruitment, legal, banking, hospitality, printing, IT and transport, it was interesting how many issues we have in common,” she said, while also thanking the participants, supporters and sponsors.
“We appreciate how fortunate we are in Bray to have a wide range of businesses that get involved or support the event, from the top quality produce from local shop Get Fresh on Quinnsborough Road, to Wicklow Wolf Brewery, who started their enterprise in the town and have developed to an internationally trading company,” she added.
Other lead sponsors included Condor Publishing, Hygienic Barbers and Powerscourt Distillery (who gave vouchers for their tasting tour), as well as PTSB, Alpha CC and Finnegan Bray. Get Fresh and Wicklow Wolf Brewery provided the refreshments on the day.
Bray Chamber said it would like to thank all the businesses who took part in the day, either by playing or sponsoring prizes, including Alpha CC, Benville Robinson, Commscope, Condor Publishers Ltd, FHM Accountants, Finnegans Bray, Fred O’Toole Electrical Contractors, Get Fresh, Hygienic Barbers, Irish Adhesive Markings, Metec Consulting Engineers, Osborne Recruitment Consultants, Powerscourt Distillery, Prendergast Keogh & Co, PTSB, RV International, The Martello Hotel, Wicklow Wolf Brewery and all the staff at Bray Golf Club.
