Arrests made as Garda Public Order Unit deployed to Coolock site set to house asylum-seekers

At least 12 people have been arrested and multiple garda cars have been damaged amid prolonged clashes between gardaí and members of the public at a site in Coolock this evening.

The people arrested so far have been detained on public order and criminal damage offences.
