Atlantic 10 Announces 2024-25 Women’s Basketball Opponents – University of Richmond Athletics

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Atlantic 10 Conference announced the pairings for the 2024-25 women’s basketball season on Thursday. The defending A-10 champions will play an 18-game schedule that includes home-and-home series against Davidson, Dayton, Saint Joseph’s and VCU. 

Richmond will welcome George Mason, George Washington, Rhode Island, St. Bonaventure and Saint Louis to the Robins Center, where the Spiders went a record 14-0 on their home court in 2023-24. The team will be on the road for Duquesne, Fordham, La Salle, Loyola Chicago and Massachusetts.  

The Spiders are coming off a record-breaking year last season, including an appearance in the NCAA Women’s Basketball Championship for the first time since 2005, an A-10 regular season title and an A-10 Championship tournament title. Season ticket renewals for the 2024-25 season will begin on July 8th. A ticket office representative will contact individuals who have already submitted a deposit for season tickets while all questions regarding season tickets can be answered by calling 1-877-SPIDER-1.

Reigning A-10 Coach of the Year Aaron Roussell enters his sixth year at the helm of the Spiders in 2024-25. Roussell will enter A-10 play in 2024-25 with a 47-32 mark in the conference to go along with a 406-179 overall coaching record. The team welcomes four transfers to the roster for 2024-25 including Steph Ouderkirk, Sam Dewey, Faith Alston and Alyssa Jimenez, while incoming freshmen Payton Richard, Annika Manthy and Alicia Newell also join the Spiders.
