The former Bachelor contestant Hannah Ann Sluss and the NFL player Jake Funk tied the knot in an idyllic Italian ceremony on Wednesday.
Hannah, 27, and Jake, 26, eloped in Tuscany with an intimate ceremony, though they plan to throw a bigger reception bash later in July in Miami, Florida, according to People.
The wedding was held in the gorgeous hills of the countryside, and they said they planned to spend some time exploring Tuscany immediately after the small ceremony.
Hannah and Jake — who got engaged in January 2023 after Jake’s romantic seaside proposal — reportedly said their vows in a stunning twelfth-century castle.
‘We decided it would just be us and to really focus on the commitment and significance of marriage,’ Hannah said of the ceremony. ‘It’s easy to get caught up in all the glitz and glam.’

She added that ‘having our wedding just for us made the most sense and made it meaningful.’
However, they wanted their family to feel ‘included and involved,’ so they held a party for family to help send them off before they left the US for Italy.
Hannah explained that she and the Detroit Lions running back had chosen to get married in Italy because they wanted the ceremony in a place they had visited before.
The couple — who made their relationship official in February of 2022 — hadn’t been to Tuscany before, but they felt safe picking the scenic Italian city after she spent two summers taking cooking classes in Italy.
They paid tribute to the location by having the reality star walk down the aisle while being serenaded with Italian music.
Hannah was dressed in a gorgeous white satin off-the-shoulder gown with a modest train and a long lacy veil trailing behind her.
‘It’s exactly what I wanted,’ she gushed. ‘I felt it was simple enough, yet elegant and timeless’
The gown was custom made for her by The Wedding Studio, an Indiana-based bridal boutique that she fell in love with after learning about it on HGTV.

It was conveniently located for her, as she bought it when she was living with Jake in Indianapolis during his stint playing for the Indianapolis Colts.
Jake was decked out in a slim black tuxedo with a classic shawl lapel, which was spiced up with satin cuffs, from The Gentleman’s Playbook.
He dressed down his wedding outfit by going sock-free in black suede loafers.
He followed in his father’s footsteps by getting the inside of his KAY Jewelers wedding band engraved with his and Hannah’s initials — which she thought was ‘really special’ — as his dad had done the same thing when he got married.
Jake explained that they were heading right into their honeymoon and then the reception back in the US in order to do them before his time is monopolized by football season.
‘We are doing two in one, which made sense for us,’ he explained to People. ‘We could just knock both of those out and then not have to wait until after football season to have an actual honeymoon.’
Hannah shared that the couple were looking forward to plenty of good ‘food’ and planned to take ‘cooking classes’ now that they were husband and wife.
As she has already had some intensive destination cooking classes, these would be for Jake’s benefit, as Hannah said she wanted to ‘really start off our marriage by teaching him how to cook.’

Hannah noted that she was focused on not overextending herself while wedding planning — which Jake said she took the lead on — and she urged other future brides to ‘do whatever makes you and your husband feel your best and whatever will make you the most excited.’
Hannah concluded by noting that their future was ‘very unpredictable,’ presumably due to the nature of Jake’s NFL career, which could see them having to move across the country depending on what team he played for.
‘We never know where we’re going to be living or what he’ll even be doing, so having a best friend to take on whatever life throws at you is what I’m most excited about,’ she said sweetly.
Now she plans to celebrate ‘us and the life that we want to build together from this point on.’
