Barry Nash out as Limerick make two changes to their side facing Cork in All-Ireland hurling semi-final

JOHN KIELY has named his side to face Cork in this Sunday’s highly anticipated All-Ireland Senior Hurling semi-final in Croke Park at 4pm. Limerick have made two changes to their starting team from their Munster final victory over Clare with Barry Nash out injured and Shane O’Brien making way for Seamus Flanagan.

It was reported during the lead up to the All Ireland semi-final that Barry Nash had recently picked up a hamstring injury in training. This will be the star defenders first game of Limerick’s 2024 championship campaign on the sideline after playing every minute of campaign to date.

Sean Finn and Flanagan make a welcome return to the starting 15. While Darragh O’Donovan and Richie English are both named on the bench as they return from injuries, they were also named on the match day squad for the Munster SHC final but were not played during the historic six in-a-row title victory.

This Sunday’s game is set to be a sell-out with a full house of supporters excepted to make their way to the GAA headquarters. The game will be televised live on RTÉ TV with the first of the All-Ireland hurling semi-final’s taking place on Saturday between Kilkenny and Clare at 3pm.

The Limerick and Cork tie will be the first All-Ireland semi-final meeting of the counties since 2018 when extra time was required before John Kiely’s men advanced to the decider.
