Before going on to say: ‘Ben is not working as much by choice and she’s overworking – so their priorities are different, even though she has been dedicated to her marriage and kids, she’s very busy’.

MailOnline have contacted Ben and Jennifer’s reps for comment.

Jennifer released This Is Me… Now back in February, and it was accompanied by a musical film called This Is Me… Now: A Love Story and a documentary entitled The Greatest Love Story Never Told.

The album debuted at number 38 on the Billboard chart, her first LP to not make the top 20.

Ben and Matt Damon’s company Artists Equity financed the documentary, while Jennifer self financed her film This Is Me…Now: A Love Story for $20 million.

In a statement, provided to DailyMail.com, it was revealed that the performer would cancelling the tour and ‘taking time off to be with her children, family and close friends.’

Jennifer also sent a special message to her fans through her OntheJLo site. saying: ‘I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down,’

‘Please know that I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t feel that it was absolutely necessary.

‘I promise I will make it up to you and we will all be together again. I love you all so much. Until next time…’.

A source told DailyMail.com that Jen was sad to be dropping out of the tour, which was selling well, but needed to be home at this time.

‘She’s taking time off to be with family and close friends,’ said the insider as they noted she had been rehearsing often for the show and was ready to commit, but felt it was time for a break.

‘This was a very difficult decision made by Jennifer this week and she’s sorry to her fans.’

This decision was not made around ticket sales as the tour was actually doing well in most key cities and there had been a good uptick, a source told DailyMail.com.

There were rumours the tour was not selling well when it was billed as This Is Me… Now in support of her recent album that went with her film.

But when it was changed to a greatest hits tour called This Is Me… Live, tickets started selling very well.

Amid divorce rumours, the two stars recently reunited on Thursday in Santa Monica to attend his daughter Violet’s graduation ceremony.

They were joined by her twins Max and Emme, as well as Ben’s other children Fin, 15, and Samuel, 12, whom he shares with ex-wife, Jennifer Garner.

While strolling through a crowded parking lot, Ben and Jennifer were seen holding hands before leaving in separate cars to return to their own residences.

Beforehand, the stars also were spotted together as they made an appearance at a special graduation bash to celebrate Violet’s milestone.

Despite their marital woes, a source told People on Friday that Ben and Jennifer ‘still want to put the kids first,’ adding that the two ‘have always been very family-oriented.’

‘The graduation was a big deal. Jennifer wanted to celebrate it,’ the insider said, adding that the strain in their marriage is ‘heartbreaking for her.’
