BGF invests €4m in Limerick tech firm Eventmaster
Growth capital investor BGF has announced a €4m investment in Eventmaster, a Limerick-based technology platform which provides ticketing, membership, and fundraising software solutions for events, sporting bodies and charities.
The company provides ticketing technology for over 3,000 events annually with more than 1.5 million tickets sold each year.
Its clients include Athletics Ireland, Cycling Ireland and Canoeing Ireland.
Eventmaster was founded in Limerick in 2010 by John Cleary who will remain as CEO and majority shareholder.
“This investment from BGF marks a significant step forward for Eventmaster,” Mr Cleary said.
“The future looks very bright and very exciting,” he added.
The investment will see BGF take a significant minority stake in the company.
BGF has invested over €110 million in Irish companies in the last seven years.
“Eventmaster is one of the most impressive tech companies we have seen in the Irish market,” said BGF Investor Joe Higgins.
“Over the past 14 years they have carved out a leadership position in the Irish market and they have exciting plans for expansion here and further afield,” Mr Higgins said.
