Body of woman (40s) found in house in Mayo as gardaí launch investigation

Gardaí and emergency services were alerted to the incident shortly before 10pm and attended a residence in Killala, County Mayo on Monday evening, June 17, 2024.

The body of the woman, who was in her 40s, was taken to Mayo University Hospital where a post-mortem took place on Tuesday.

The results of which are not being released for operational reasons.

A file will now be prepared for the coroner.

Gardaí said no further information is available at this time.
