Bonnie Ryan rubbishes claims she’s quit her job after ‘story grows legs’
Bonnie Ryan has rubbished reports that she has deactivated her Instagram account, telling her followers that she loves her job and has no plans to leave the site.
During the week, it was reported that the makeup artist and beauty influencer deleted her popular Instagram account, which boasts over 125,000 followers.
On Thursday evening, Bonnie took to her stories to set the record straight and said this is not the case. She added that posting content on Instagram is a job she loves and there are no plans to stop this.

She wrote: “This story has grown legs it would seem and lots of people sending me it. I can confirm I have absolutely not deleted my insta hahaha.
“It might have glitched but I absolutely did not announce I’m leaving. Like the wolf of wallstreet. I’m not leaving hahaha.”
The dismissed claims come after Bonnie slammed an “unacceptable comment” from a cruel troll about her late father, 2FM legend Gerry Ryan, back in April.
At the time, the beauty guru posted a clip on her social media channels explaining how Netflix representatives reached out to her to see if she would be interested in taking part in dating show Love Is Blind, despite the fact she is married.
Bonnie saw the funny side to the situation as she shared the news with her TikTok followers, but was left unimpressed by a “crazy” comment from a faceless troll.
Someone wrote: “Daddy’s name? That’s why they sent messages.”
Bonnie replied: “My dad died 14 years ago this month. I don’t think [he] would be able to go on.”
She explained to her followers she wouldn’t normally pay attention to “silly crap” like that but that this particular comment rubbed her up the wrong way.
“I got a notification on one of my TikTok videos, somebody left a comment. Don’t go into the comments section of your TikTok – my god, people can be crazy,” she said on her Instagram Stories.
“I’m trying to be my usual self. My way of dealing with my dad passing away was that I’ve always had such black humour. If I don’t laugh, I’ll simply just cry.”
Although she sent a tongue-in-cheek reply, Bonnie added it was “simply an unacceptable comment”.
She continued: “Instagram and TikTok – that’s my place of work. Imagine someone coming into your office and being like, ‘do you think you’re getting on now because of your father who died 15 years ago’.
“I’m just out here trying to work and you’re coming in with my childhood trauma. I just can’t, I can’t. Can people just think before they say that?
“Maybe they just think I’m never going to see it but anyway, I always think, ‘that’s your own problem, don’t put that on me’.
“They since deleted it. They’ve actually just fully deleted their profile. I’m pretty sure it was just a fake account.”
