Business movers: People starting new jobs in Ireland

Cesar França has been appointed as MD of dairy co-op Ornua’s Global Foods division, which includes the Kerrygold brand. Based in Ornua’s global HQ in Dublin, he brings 25 years of experience in FMCG, notably with brands including Gerber, Milkmaid, NIDO, Maggi, Beba, Lactogen, Laboratories Guigoz, Nestum, Svelty and Nescau. He has held executive roles with Nestle in Switzerland, Mexico and Brazil. He was president of global proprietary brands with Covetrus Animal Health, plus roles in Parmalat and Natura Cosmeticos. Originally from Brazil, he holds a business degree and an MBA from IMD Business School in Switzerland. He speaks English, Portuguese, Spanish and French.

Mandy Young has recently been appointed as group director of revenue at Trigon Hotels, the Cork-based group which operates The Metropole Hotel and the Cork International Hotel. A native of Cork, Mandy started her career in an advertising agency in Paris working for over ten years on global accounts including Nestle and l’Oreal. She has extensive experience in revenue growth for domestic and international companies here in Ireland. She also has experience working in the newspaper, airline, leisure centre and car rental sectors. Skilled in revenue management, multi-market development and marketing, she has also served as chair of the Marketing Institute Southern Region.

Andrew Boyle has been appointed as chief financial officer of professional services firm Aon Ireland, overseeing financial operations and strategic financial planning. Boyle will have a key role in supporting Aon to execute on its 3×3 growth plan, enabling the business to go further faster in meeting client needs in an evolving risk environment. He also joins Aon’s board. He joins Aon from Mercer, where he was CFO for Europe, and led financial operations and planning across 34 markets in the region. Boyle has over 30 years’ experience in the financial services sector in Ireland, managing high-growth businesses and developing highly performing finance teams.

Karol Kissane has been appointed as head of public sector services and economics with Ifac, Ireland’s farming, food and agribusiness specialist professional services firm. A newly created role for Ifac, Karol begins immediately. A Kerry native, Karol is also a dairy farmer and Nuffield Scholar (2018). In addition, he is a chartered accountant and chartered tax adviser. Karol joins Ifac the IFA, where he was a senior policy executive. A top-ten accountancy firm with a 30-office footprint and a dedicated team of 500 professionals, Ifac has been committed to serving its farming, food, and agri-business clients across the country for the past 49 years.

Gabriel Trayers has been appointed as Teagasc regional advisory manager in Roscommon and Longford region. He brings 30 years’ experience with Teagasc, and will now lead the team offering farm advisory services and educational courses. A famer from East Galway, Gabriel holds a degree in Agricultural Science from UCD and a Leadership Development diploma from Teagasc and IMI Sandyford. He is currently working as a specialist advisor on the Teagasc Future Beef demonstration programme, advising 11 farmers on how on-farm efficiencies can increase profitability and reduce GHG emissions. He previously worked as a drystock advisor, based in Tuam, and as a REPS planner in Monaghan.
