Celia Holman Lee’s skincare secrets for youthful skin without getting injections or filler
Celia Holman Lee has shared some of her skincare secrets as she admitted she has never gotten injections or filler.
The 73-year-old has been a force to be reckoned with in Ireland’s modelling industry since making her debut on the runway at the age of 15 and always looks glamorous, whether she’s stepping out on the red carpet or hosting fashion segments on RTE’s Today.
Celia credits her active lifestyle for keeping her feeling youthful, fit and healthy. But when it comes to looking great, she swears by certain skincare tips.

The Limerick native’s skin is incredible, but has often said she has never had injections or filler. So, how does she look after it?
Celia told RSVP Magazine: “It’s a bit late for me to be going down the Botox road. I had Ultherapy, which is tightening of the jaw line, around three years ago at The Otto Clinic in Limerick.
“More recently I had what they call a laser facelift at aNuMe in Cork. There are great machines out there and I’m a huge fan of lasers. I am getting brown sun spots so I always use a good sunscreen under my make-up.”
When it comes to sourcing inspiration for a radiant complexion, Celia looks up to award-winning actress Helen Mirren.
She added: “You take someone like Helen Mirren who looks incredible yet you can see by her that there is nothing injected. Her face looks sculpted, like she has had a good laser like I had. That is the way a lot of the older women are going because injections don’t really hold more mature skin.”
Celia is one of Ireland’s most stylish women and is always dressed in her finest attire. It’s hard to imagine her with bad hair, no make-up, wearing leggings and a sweatshirt.
She joked: “The guy who delivers the post might have something different to say!
“I love my dressing gowns but they are fancy – one is a lovely leopard print and another is a grey fur that wraps around me. I feel cuddled up and comfortable in them. When I go walking, I wear a nice coloured puffer jacket and I try to fix my hair before I go out.
“I don’t consciously feel that I have to do this, but being in the business for so long has conditioned me to dress myself in a certain way, it has become second nature to me. Style and dressing is my job, it’s become who I am.”
Fashion for Celia is all about style and expression, and she vehemently disagrees with outdated phrases like “dress for your age” still being used.
“I say dress for yourself and what suits your personality and your body, lots of women only find their style in their 40s or 50s,” she said.
“I hate the saying ‘mutton dressed as lamb’. Nobody should ever listen to rubbish like that. Whatever makes you feel empowered and confident, you wear it.”
Celia is held in very high esteem in the fashion and modelling industry, something she is very proud of. She has no plans to retire any time soon and appreciates that her opinion and expertise in the industry continues to be valued.
She added: “I’m beyond grateful that people see me for what I am and appreciate what I have tried to achieve. People have been very good to me. I have great friends who love me and I love them too. Like everyone else I am striving to keep moving forward.”
If Celia could give her younger self advice, say when she was in your 30s or 40s, what would that be?
She replied: “I don’t know. Of course I have made mistakes, but who hasn’t! I hope I have been kind, I think I have been. So there is really nothing that I would change because anything that went wrong was a lesson that I learned from.
“There is no point in having regrets, just get over it, deal with it and learn from it.”
