Contestants sought for ‘life-changing’ new BBC show

Budding Leicestershire adventurers are sought for the BBC’s next travel competition show. Programme makers have billed it as the perfect mix of Race Across the World and The Traitors.

The rallying call for contestants has come from production company Twofour who are looking for entrants for its next show. The BBC competition currently has the working title of ‘Travel Show’ but is more than the name suggests as people who love to travel and solve puzzles could win a “life-changing” cash prize.

A Twofour spokesperson said: “We are looking for people who love to travel, who love solving clues, playing detective, and outsmarting competition. This is a game show like no other and promises to be an epic adventure with a chance to win a life-changing cash prize.”

Show makers have said that ‘Travel Show’ is the perfect blend of two of the BBC’s most popular shows, Race Across the World which came to an end last week and the Claudia Winkleman fronted reality show The Traitors. How this new show blends the travel and puzzle solving has not yet been made clear.

Filming is set to take place between October and November, with would-be contestants urged to make sure they are available for between four and five weeks. All contestants must be aged 18 and over and have a passport that is valid up to May 2025.

Entry can now be made online. The deadline to enter is Saturday, August 31.
