Garda Public Order units have cleared protesters in Coolock who had blocked the Malahide road outside a site earmarked to house asylum seekers.

The Crown Paints factory on the Malahide Road was the scene of chaos on Monday with more than 30 people arrested in relation to public order offences as crowds attacked garda personnel and vehicles and set alight part of the site slate to house asylum seekers.
