Cork rugby star Rory Scannell marries Aisling Colwell in beautiful Kerry wedding
Munster Rugby star Rory Scannell and long-term partner Aisling Colwell have tied the knot with a glamorous wedding ceremony in Co. Kerry. The newlyweds spared no expense for their big day, with a ceremony in Killarney followed by a plush reception at the luxurious Europe Hotel and Resort at the weekend.
The couple had famous faces among their guests, including 30-year-old Scannell’s teammates, rugby stars Keith Earls and Andrew Conway. Rory shared the glamourous day on social media, writing on Instagram: “What a weekend celebrating with family and friends”

There were some notable absentees, as some of Ireland’s top stars are over in South Africa for the next couple of weeks for their two tests. But in their absence, a number of their partners were there, including the wives of Tadhg Beirne and Conor Murray who were among Aisling’s bridesmaids.
Rugby star Rory even joked that his orthopaedic boot was Gucci. The Munster centre was forced to wear it after suffering a season-ending injury earlier this year. Scannell suffered the ankle injury during Munster’s end-of-season win over Ulster but then missed the remainder of the season as Graham Ronwtree’s men fell just short in their URC semi-final against Glasgow.
Newlywed Rory has played three times for Ireland during his illustrious rugby career. Andy Farrell’s side take on South Africa on 6 July and 13 July as they hope to earn a big win against the World Champions.
