Couple on holiday shocked after being charged €700 bill for pasta and two drinks

A couple holidaying in Greece were left less than impressed after claiming they were charged €700 for two drinks and a plate of a pasta at a restaurant in Mykonos.

Oscar Maldonado and his boyfriend jetted off to the idyllic Greek destination earlier this month and were looking forward to a sun soaked holiday. Instead, they were left livid after finding themselves in a “terrible” financial situation.

Oscar explained how they were enticed into eating at DK Oyster, a restaurant which has already attracted negative reviews online as customers claimed they were charged hundreds of euros for plates of food and a small number of drinks. The couple opted to order two smoothies and plate of lobster pasta.

Oscar, 34, told Mirror UK : “They were really really nice and the service was really good, they made conversation with us. We ordered non-alcoholic drinks. Just some smoothies. I didn’t ask for the price, then they brought the menu over. It was misleading to say the least. My boyfriend had the lobster pasta.”

Like many who’ve taken to TripAdvisor to air their fury about the eatery, the couple claim they were unaware the lobster was charged by the gram.

Medical doctor Oscar continued: “They brought us the biggest lobster, it was a pasta but with the whole part of a lobster. It was a big bit. I thought it may cost a lot, but I never thought that much.”
