A random golf fan was given a moment to remember on Sunday as C.T. Pan enlisted him to be his caddie.
Pan’s bags are normally carried by Mike ‘Fluff’ Cowan, but the veteran caddie slipped walking down a hill on the third hole and injured himself during the Canadian Open.
As Pan walked Cowan over to a medic, a fan identified by PGA.com as Paul Emerson volunteered to help the golfer – aid which Pan was happy to accept.
‘I helped Fluff get the bib off, threw it on and started walking up the hole,’ Emerson said.
In a video from the PGA’s official X account, Emerson can be seen walking onto the green and putting on a bib.

He was wearing a pink Masters T-shirt underneath.
He then shook hands with Pan before settling into his new role, which he performed for two holes.
According to PGA.com, a member of the caddie services team stepped in on the fifth hole for Emerson before being replaced by Al Riddell, Paul Barjon’s caddie, on the 10th hole.
At the time of writing, Pan was tied for 36th after finishing his fourth round, with a three-under-park mark overall.
Robert MacIntyre had only just started the last round but leads the field with a -13.
Pan, 32, has three pro wins, with his last being the RBC Heritage in 2019.
Cowan, meanwhile, has previously caddied for the likes of Tiger Woods and Jim Furyk.
