Full-time: Derry 0-15 Armagh 3-17
Armagh record their second win in Group One with a remarkable 11-point win over Derry in Celtic Park!
This isn’t quite knockout football just yet, but Derry and Armagh cannot afford to lose this afternoon as they Ulster rivals lock horns once more.
Last season, they clashed in the Ulster SFC final with Derry retaining the Anglo Celt Cup after a dramatic penalty shootout win in Clones.
This season, both teams had their provincial title ambitions ended by Donegal with the Orchard County suffering a second successive Ulster final loss on penalties.
Kieran McGeeney’s side have since returned to winning way after defeating Westmeath in their Group One opener.
However, Mickey Harte’s side crashed to back-to-back Championship defeats when going down by five points against Connacht champions Galway in Pearse Stadium.
Gareth McKinless was also sent off for standing on Damien Comer’s leg in the first half of that five-point loss and the Ballinderry defender will miss this weekend’s game as a result.
A third consecutive defeat doesn’t end Derry’s season as they could still progress to the All-Ireland preliminary round by beating Westmeath in round three, but any hope of topping the table would be gone.
McGeeney’s side face Galway in their final game in a fortnight and any points gained from today’s clash at Celtic Park would be a huge boost for Armagh.
We’ll have all the latest team news and build-up ahead of throw-in at 4pm.

The GAA have hiked the price of All-Ireland final stand tickets to €100. That’s an increase of €10 from last year’s €90 headline price, while terrace tickets are up from €50 to €55.
Tickets prices for All-Ireland quarter-final and semi-finals in both codes have been raided by €5 across the board. The GAA last increased ticket prices back in 2019, having previously hiked prices in 2010.
GAA chiefs have vowed to use the additional revenue to increase the spend on club facilities from €3 million in 2023 to €4.5 million in 2024. This figure is set to rise to €5 million in 2025.
The All-Ireland final ticket price rises alone are likely to bring in over €1 million in additional revenue across football and hurling.
