Devlin back with Louth to take up underage role

Gavin Devlin is returning to Louth GAA as their director of underage football.

Devlin was coach for the senior footballers for three seasons under Mickey Harte’s tenure.

Both men stepped aside to take management and coaching roles in Derry, but last week stepped down from those positions.

Now Devlin is back with the Wee County to spearhead their underage development structures.

His remit will be to steer the academy development squads, post primary and rising stars programmes.

The news comes after months of deliberations with the Louth GAA executive, games development personnel, senior football manager Ger Brennan, and other stakeholders.
