Novak Djokovic, the all-time record holder for tennis Grand Slams with 24, was beaten in straight sets in Sunday’s Wimbledon final by the Spanish sensation Carlos Alcaraz. It was the Serbian’s 13th career loss in a Major final.

Golf legend Jack Nicklaus has won a record 18 Majors, but he also finished runner-up 19 times in the game’s four biggest tournaments. My point being that, in sport, even the greats will lose as many as they win. For the rest of us mere mortals, we can only dream of such records.
