‘Do not swim’ notice issued for popular south Dublin bathing spot
Swimmers have been told to avoid a popular south Dublin bathing spot over the coming days.
A “Do Not Swim” advisory notice has been issued for Blackrock Seafront by Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council following a period of heavy rainfall. The notice was issued on Monday morning and will remain in place until Wednesday.
In a statement, Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council said: “We would like to advise that a Advisory Notice not to swim at Blackrock Seafront due to a sample taken on the 10th July after a period of heavy rainfall.
“This notice is in place until Wednesday 17th July.”
