Doolin Ferries scoops international travel award
Doolin Ferry Company have scooped an international award and been named Cruise Company of the Year in Ireland for 2024.
Travel & Hospitality Awards is a global recognition programme for the travel industry recognising the very best hotels, tour operators, experience providers, spa & wellness facilities, restaurants, and technology and innovation companies.
Travel awards are given based on the review of customer feedback alongside the awards own collected entry data.

Nominees are then categorised and compared on a regional basis by an expert panel of judges.
“Huge Congratulations to the team at Doolin Ferry Co who have been awarded ‘Cruise Company of the Year 2024 – Ireland’ at the prestigious Travel & Hospitality Awards!” tourist group Visit The Burren shared on Facebook.
“This recognition of excellence is well deserved as Doolin Ferry are an exemplary business here in The Burren and Cliffs of Moher UNESCO Global Geopark, and proud members of the Burren Ecotourism Network.
“Recent recipients of an Emerald Code of Practice Certification from the Geopark, Doolin Ferry Co exemplifies ecotourism best practices, from reducing its environmental footprint to actively conserving and protecting the landscape,” they continued.
In Summer 2024, Doolin Ferry will launch its new eco-friendly ship, setting a new standard for sustainable passenger ferry travel in Ireland.
Environmental responsibility is at the forefront of the new build. Accordingly, green technologies have been employed in the design which will result in reduced emissions and less fuel consumption.
The new ship will be fitted with solar panels and energy-efficient LED lighting while the advanced hull coatings with a lifespan of 10 years eliminate the need for frequent repaints, further reducing environmental impact.
