Downtown Bryan businesses coming together for new shopping experience

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – Business owners are creating a way for shoppers to enjoy their favorite downtown Bryan stores in a casual way.

Third Thursday Shop & Stroll will take place every month where participating businesses will stay open until 8 p.m. so the community can enjoy a quiet and casual evening downtown.

What is unique about Third Thursday is that there will be no vendors or musicians in the streets.

Instead, businesses are allowed to have those vendors and musicians inside of their stores.

“It’s going to be fun to shop and not worry about if you’re going to find a parking place or if it’s going to be too crowded at the restaurant to eat. that’s our goal, to get people downtown, and enjoy downtown on a Thursday night” says Burr’s Unfinished Furniture Owner Cindy Roberts.

Participating businesses include Burr’s Unfinished Furniture, Burr’s Boho, Sparrow Lane, Brazos Glassworks, Rabbit Hole/The Attic Antiques, Parker Astin Event Center, The Frame Gallery, Savage Diva, Bird’s Nest Gifts & Antiques, Itza BIP, Lonestar Meadery and Beautimous Me.

Each Third Thursday will have a theme and for June participants are asked to wear gold to help commemorate Rabbit Hole/The Attic Antiques’ 50th anniversary.

The first Third Thursday will take place on June 20.
