Dream Arsenal transfer window includes Kudus and Gomes

The transfer window continues to be a slow burner for Arsenal and many other clubs as both the European Championships and Copa America continue to dominate the attention of football fans. However, with today being the last day of June, it brings to an end the latest Profit and Sustainability cycle for Premier League clubs meaning that from tomorrow, there is an expectation that movement in the market will grow exponentially.

The hope is, of course, this means that Arsenal will to begin to move with more purpose and look to get deals done. By this time last year, the Gunners had already signed Kai Havertz from Chelsea in a £65million deal with the moves for Declan Rice and Jurrien Timber being confirmed a fortnight later.

With that in mind, I previously discussed my dream window for Arsenal some weeks ago and little has changed since, besides Benjamin Sesko signing a new deal with RB Leipzig. However, my mind has since been opened to different options, and therefore what a dream window now looks like, for me, for Arsenal is therefore different.

Mohammed Kudus

I discussed yesterday that it had surprised me there were no links regarding Arsenal and Mohammed Kudus. Considering a wide player is definitely up there as a key signing Arsenal can make and a centre forward looks unlikely an approach for Kudus makes a lot of sense.

His ability to play right, left, attacking midfield, and even up top makes him incredibly desirable and now more than last summer. His experience in the Premier League and seamless transition to English football has made this deal a no-brainer but the cost is what remains a mystery.

Alexander Isak

For a time, I thought that if there was one player who could be the Rice-type signing of 2024 then it was Alexander Isak. A Premier League-proven striker who scored more than 20 goals and appeared the fit perfectly into Mikel Arteta’s system and would guarantee yet another record-breaking goalscoring season for Arsenal.
