‘Dream job’ for coffee lovers pays €9,000 to travel Asia tasting best beverages

Viatnamese coffee company Cafely is offering over a “dream job” paying $10,000 (€9,293) cash to one lucky person to spend four weeks coffee-tasting around Asia.

The winning candidate will be a “coffee aficionado” who has a passion for travel and culture and some descriptive flair for when they are required to document their adventure afterwards.

Thrown into the mix will be all-expenses-paid travel and a year’s supply of coffee which will consist of Cafely’s premium products.

The winner will get to spend four weeks travelling across Asia sampling coffee in five cities, namely Hanoi (Vietnam), Seoul (South Korea), Bangkok (Thailand), Jakarta (Indonesia) and Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia).

Cafely said it is searching for a “dynamic individual who embodies the spirit of a true coffee aficionado”.

Enticing applicants to the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, the coffee chain said: “Tasting each shop’s signature drinks is essential, and the winner will document their sensory experiences of the taste, fragrance, and texture of the drinks, as well as their experiences with the shops they visited.

“If your heart beats for the perfect brew and your passport is just as thirsty for stamps, apply now.” If this sounds like you, you can apply by following this link.

Applications close on Sunday, 30 June.
