Driver injured after concrete mixer truck flips on its side in Dublin

A concrete mixer truck driver was injured after the lorry flipped on its side in a crash yesterday.

Emergency services were alerted to the incident at the N81/Blessington Road in Saggart on Saturday morning. Harrowing pictures show the extensive damage to the overturned truck following the single-vehicle collision.

The driver of the truck later received medical treatment for their injuries. A Dublin Fire Brigade spokesperson said: “Firefighters from Tallaght fire station along with @TallaghtAmbo were called to a rollover road traffic collision off the Blessington Road yesterday.

“An emergency tender (ET) from Dolphins Barn Fire Station was also on scene and traffic restrictions were in place.”

A Garda spokesman said: “Gardaí attended the scene of a single vehicle road traffic collision at the N81 / Blessington Road in Saggart, Co Dublin on Saturday morning. The driver of a lorry later received medical treatment.”
