Dublin traffic and travel: Multiple M50 crashes and animals on the road lead to tailbacks for morning commuters

There have been several crashes on the M50 this morning which may be causing delays for motorists.

The road was briefly fully closed around 7.30am this morning following a collision between Junction 4, Ballymun and Junction 5, Finglas in the southbound direction.

It has since reopened but traffic remains heavy in the area from the M interchange towards Finglas.

Another crash has just taken place on the M50 southbound between Junction 6, Blanchardstown, and Junction 7, Lucan.

Drivers are being advised to drive with care and expect delays.

There have also been reports of animals on the M50 northbound near junction 13, Dundrum, drivers should take caution on approach.
