Duke to Travel to Charlottesville for 2025 ITA Kickoff Weekend – Duke University

DURHAM – The Duke women’s tennis team will hit the road for the 2025 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Kickoff Weekend as the Blue Devils travel to Charlottesville, Va.  Other teams to participate in the weekend hosted by the University of Virginia at the Boar’s Head Sports Complex will be Virginia, South Carolina and New Mexico. 
 

The ITA Kickoff Weekend will take place Jan. 24-25 with the Blue Devils and Gamecocks facing off in their opening match. Other host sites are Texas A&M, Oklahoma State, Georgia, Stanford, Michigan, Pepperdine, North Carolina, UCLA, California, Texas, Tennessee, Southern California and Florida. 
 
The Cavaliers are coming off posting a 25-5 ledger a season ago and advanced to the NCAA quarterfinals.  South Carolina totaled a 17-8 overall record and earned a 2024 NCAA Tournament selection.  New Mexico posted an impressive 19-3 record last year and fell in the Mountain West Tournament. 
 
Duke is coming off collecting a 16-10 overall record in 2024 and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.  The Blue Devils return a pair of rising seniors – Emma Jackson and Ellie Coleman – junior Katie Codd and sophomore Shavit Kimchi for the 2024-25 campaign.
