Duke’s Cooper Flagg Lists LeBron, Kobe, Michael Jordan in His All-Time NBA Starting 5
Duke commit Cooper Flagg has declared his all-time starting five.
The nation’s top high school player and Gatorade Best Male Player listed a familiar group of players for his starting lineup. Flagg said he would put Magic Johnson at point guard, Michael Jordan at shooting guard, Kobe Bryant at small forward, LeBron James at power forward and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar at center.
It’s hard to put together a much better starting five than the group Flagg listed considering all the accomplishments the individuals have under their belts.
The future Blue Devil seems to know basketball history pretty well despite being young. In a recent interview with Slam Magazine, he called Jordan the GOAT, said the 1985-86 Boston Celtics were the best team of all time and that Gregg Popovich is the best coach of all time.
Flagg will now look to start his journey towards being in all-time conversations. The forward is listed as the No. 1 player in the Class of 2024 by 247Sports Composite and has garnished plenty of hype ahead of his collegiate debut this fall.
Recently, he’s been playing with the USA Select Team, helping Team USA prepare for the upcoming Olympics at the end of the month. In doing so, he’s gone head-to-head with NBA stars such as James, Kevin Durant, Steph Curry and more.
Getting that kind of experience under his belt before even playing a college basketball game is invaluable, and he seems due for a big year for Duke this season.
