Dunkirk edges Fredonia in unified basketball

Behind 20 points from Franye Amparo Agosto, Dunkirk edged Fredonia 41-36 in a unified basketball game Tuesday.

Ahmad Narveez, Adrien Frank, Cadence Cave and Mekiah Sedlacek all had 4 points for the Marauders, while teammates Ayden Hamernick and Connor Jakubpwocz all had 2.

Julian Ocasio led the Hillbillies on Senior Night with 12 points, Austin Dulibia had 6, Luke McKnatt and Kayleigh Morano each had 4, and Diego Brielo, Sam Tenamore, Lydia LaBarr and Jovanna Brielp all had 2.

The playoffs will be held Thursday at The Rock in West Seneca.

WARRIORS FALL

SALAMANCA — Kaine Whitcomb poured in 21 to pace Salamanca, which bowed to Cheektowaga.

Also scoring for the Warriors (5-2, 5-1) were Gordon Sullivan with 4 points, and Logan Abrams, Galen Ledsome, Michael Light and Ernest Pinnecoose with 2 apiece.
