Dunnes Stores launch new collection with ‘dreamlike summer’ clothing

DUNNES Stores has launched the new Joanna Hynes collection with a limited edition range of “dreamlike summer” clothing – but there’s a catch. 

Shoppers can now buy the limited edition items in select stores across the country and online. 

The retailer took to social media to announce the new launch, which is available exclusively at Dunnes Stores Stephen’s Green, Dublin, Dundrum, Dublin, and Bandon Road, Cork. 

Captioning the post, they said: “Introducing “Me Myself and I” from Joanne Hynes. 

“In splicing together, abstracting and reimagining signature prints and craftizan detailing, Joanne Hynes presents a dreamlike summer space for 2024.” 

The first addition to the collection is the iconic Joanne Hyner Tiger Lady Trompe L’Oeil Drape Dress for €150. 

It features a printed dramatic designer on the shoulder with prints of motifs, necklaces, and garments from the Joanne Hynes archive.

The dress also features artfully draped panels on the bodice, a soft cowl collar, and leg-of-mutton sleeves. 

And it’s finished with snap buttons on the bodice, cuffs, and side pockets. 

It is available in UK sizes 8 to 18. 

Another item available in stores is the Joanne Hynes Mainie Transparent Mac Coat for €150. 

It is inspired by the work of Irish artist Mainie Jellett, this relaxed A-line midi-length coat proves dull days needn’t hamper your playful sense of style. 

If you look closely, you will see the designer’s ‘Mainie’ collage print showcased. 

And it stands out with contrast green binding on the hems, cuffs, hood, and oversized patch pockets. 

The waist channel allows you to create a fit-and-flare silhouette. Other details of note include a chunky zipper on the full-length opening, split hems, and a drawstring hood.

The item is available in sizes S to L.

The Joanne Hynes Tiger Lady Spring Dream Sequin Top is also part of the limited edition for €120. 

The oversized short-sleeved sequin shirt is a statement piece – and has a clean and simple design at the front, lifted by beautifully printed sequins on the collar. 

The back also features printed sequins with the designer’s ‘Tiger Lady Spring Dream’ print in pleats. 

It also boasts the contrast icy blue bias binding at armhole, shoulder seams, and side seam pockets, while the cuffs feature gunmetal buttons on large cuff plackets.

The top is available in sizes L to XL – sizes XS to M are out of stock at the moment. 

The Joanne Hynes’ A Lover’s Kiss’ Neoprene Bag With Mainie Print is also available for €60. 

This oversized neoprene bag is designed in red neoprene with colourful Mainie print contrast panelling on the sides, handle, and closure detail. 

The standout feature is an extra-large detachable bow that can be moved, played with, worn on, or removed. 

Fully lined in red cotton, this exuberant accessory will bring joy wherever you wear it.
