East H.S. names Terence Hubbert as their next varsity boys basketball head coach

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX)- — East High School announced a familiar face as their next varsity boys basketball head coach in Terence Hubbert. Hubbert was co-head coach along with Hernan Santiago for the Centennial Golden Hawks varsity boys basketball team during 2023-24 season. Hubert and Santiago lead Centennial to a 28-8 record, 8-0 in league, along with a trip to the program’s first ever state championship, where they fell to Oakland Tech, 79-55 in the CIF Division 2 state championship. The Golden Hawks were the only Kern County team to make it to a state championship during the 2023-24 high school basketball season.
